BYTOWN LIGHTS
FRIDAY, AUGUST 17th
7:00PM Bytown Lights is a rock and pop cover band from Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. Covering all your favorite hits spanning genres from Rock to Pop, Disco to R&B, Bytown lights will get you on your feet and keep you dancing all night long. With powerful, captivating lead vocals by frontwoman Steffany Venneri, blazing guitar riffs by Scott Norris, killer keys and harmonies by Michael Pineault, heart thumping bass by Mike Giamberardino, and the backbeat and shared vocals all held down by drummer Jay Watts, Bytown Lights is a cut above the rest. The band formed in mid 2016 after members met through their teaching at School of Rock in Orleans, just east of Ottawa. With each member of the band being a music instructor, and professional level musicians, Bytown lights brings high energy, precise musicality, and a level of professionalism you just don’t see any more.

4:30PM O Neptune is an Ottawa native Indie/Alt-Rock outfit formed in 2016. The band experiments with different fusions of genres including Blues, Jazz, and Reggae along with their core of Alternative-Rock and Indie. Some of O Neptune’s primary influences are Stevie Ray Vaughn, Ella Fitzgerald, Muse, Circa Survive and The Police. They currently have two singles available for purchase and streaming on iTunes, Spotify, Google Play, as well as over 150 music purchasing and streaming platforms across the internet. O Neptune has plans of releasing their debut studio album in 2018.
JAMES COCHRANE
AUGUST 18th, 20th, 21st, 22nd & 23rd 6:30PM Jim Cochrane has been performing for over 20 years. He has played the smallest of venues like house parties to venues like opening up for big names such as April Wine. Jim has performed over 4000 shows during his career.He has a variety of material from “Rock-A Billy 50’s, 60’s, 70’s right up to current classic rock and country” to “Smokey Blues” as well as many originals.
THE PEPTIDES
SATURDAY, AUGUST 18th 7:00PM The PepTides are a nine-member band with a distinctive larger-than-life pop sound. The five vocalists and four instrumentalists draw on funk, electronic and disco influences. The group is noted for its extravagant live performances featuring thick vocal harmonies, theatrical choreography and colourful visuals. The PepTides’ songs juxtapose upbeat music with lyrics that comment on far-reaching themes like love, hate, revenge, sex, religion, war—and getting ready for dates. The band has charmed audiences at major music festivals (RBC Bluesfest, Festival d'été de Québec), bars (Black Sheep Inn, Horseshoe Tavern), showcases (NXNE, Folk Music Ontario), and theatre festivals (SummerWorks, Undercurrents). M3TV’s take on The PepTides says it all: “Mixing their stunning vocals with funk beats underneath a soulful sound, an abundance of theatrical dance moves and kitschy quirks, they defy any genre or description. One must simply see them to believe them.”

SATURDAY, AUGUST 25th 7:00PM Disco Inferno, formed in 1998, is composed of ten musicians and singers who capture the contagious sound of the 70’s disco craze. The band brings the talent, energy and dynamics that are essential to an event’s success. Bring some disco fever to your event with Disco Inferno. Their music is familiar and fun for everyone, including classics like: Boogie Oogie Oogie, Born to be Alive, Celebration, Disco Inferno, Get Down Tonight.

STEPH LA ROCHELLE
SATURDAY, AUGUST 18th 2:00PM With a burgeoning online presence, Steph La Rochelle has been entertaining audiences for years. She received national exposure when she was crowned 1st Runner Up in a nation wide singing competition on CBC. Since then she’s attained numerous TV and film credits to her name. Steph appeared as a “Guest Star” on the well-known and beloved Canadian family drama, Heartland (CBC), where she plays a busking runaway and sings one of her original songs. She will appear in the upcoming season of Backstage, which airs on the Family Channel. Currently, Steph is working on her Factor-funded single with award-winning producer, Jason Barry (Dean Brody, Terri Clark, Jason Blaine). Praised for her vocal purity and ethereal quality, this pop/country songstress will always leave you with a captivating performance.
ASPECTS with ILLIYAH ROSE
SUNDAY, AUGUST 19th 5:15PM Aspects is the most versatile musician you will ever see and is a local legend who has worked with countless legends and Grammy award winners. From the Wu Tang Clan, shady records, ovo, 2pacs crew and family. He also has a very strong blues and soul base and has rocked with Legends such as Jeff Healey and the late great Rick Danko from the band. Just did bluesfest and is going to rock with his 8 year old daughter Illiyah Rose who has rocked on stage with the beach boys and was the winner or last years rise to fame. LADIES & ESCORTS
FRIDAY, AUGUST 24th
7:00PM Ladies and Escorts are classic country band from Ottawa, Ontario playing original music as well as songs from Canadian legends such as Ian and Sylvia Tyson, Gordon Lightfoot, Murray McLauchlan, The Band, Hank Snow, and music from the golden age of country folk in the Ottawa Valley. Named for the sign that once adorned every hotel and beer parlour from coast to coast, Ladies and Escorts sing songs about Canada: trains, trucks and taverns as well as love and heartache.
