The Capital Fair are excited to have award-nominated Canadian producer and singer-songwriter Rachel Beausoleil perform on our main stage this year. Rachel Beausoleil is a French-Canadian world jazz chanteuse, and award-nominated producer. She is proud to present Sol da capital, her first full album of original songs, in collaboration with Brazilian guitarist-composer Evandro Gracelli. She gratefully acknowledges the support of the Ontario Arts Council and the Ottawa Music Industry Coalition. Rick Rangno is one of Ottawa's most in-demand trumpet players. Recently retired from the Central Band of the Canadian Forces, Rick is now working full-time as a freelance trumpet player and teacher. Rick has been performing professionally for over 40 years and has played the trumpet across the country from coast to coast. He has toured Canada, the USA and Europe and has performed with Gladys Knight, Martha Reeves, the Funk Brothers, The National Arts Centre Orchestra and many others over his career. He can be heard on numerous recordings and is also known in his role as a composer and arranger. Rick Rangno and Friends offer a wide variety of jazz from across the years. This group includes some of the finest musicians in Ottawa, with each member possessing decades of experience in the music business, both here in Ottawa and across the country.
